Comment by Gatorguy:
I think the DOF may be too shallow. The element in the lower right detracts from the image.

Why is your focus so selective of the upper left? What are we looking for there?

the water is a little blown out. Try a ND-9 filter for long exposure daytime shots. 6

Placement is... mediocre? Needs movement. Too centered and plain. Needs to be more dynamic.

Thanks to all who commented. Sorry it took me so long to post this because I was out of town. I am glad to see that someone saw it as a travel theme. That is what I was going for. Thanks!

An interesting high key shot. Not sure I'd choose it for a calendar but that won't affect my scoring at all. The focussing seems a bit off, that may be the high key effect or just the surface of the material, the lid of the back lefthand box and the ball in the open box for instance? The lighting is a bit harsh for my taste. The overall effect doesn't give any impression of texture in my opinion. Its a very nice idea which may have worked better with softer lighting and a duotone effect? Good work, a five from me.

Interesting lighting and good detail. I like the harsh shadows in this shot, as I think diffuse lighting would take away from it's interest.
