Comment by Giles:
I thought the absolute black of foreground would be obvious that it was night, although I guess that assumes voters would know that and shoot at night but I guess that was a step to far.

I only spent an hour on this on Xmas eve so not to bothered but it's as how I saw it in my head

I liked another one but missed the s of Xmas

Unfortunately I think you got a double whammy ... the light from the city looks very sunset-like. In a challenge that called for night the voters were all over this. Second is shadow versus silhouette. If the guy had been walking along a fence with the city as a background so that you could see him walking you might have scored higher.

Good concept is pretty good but the image is bit underexposed and lacking contrast, but that's just my opinion of course.

Would like to see this one done with an actual walking figure striding over the landscape which is the image your title and most of your picture suggests to me.

This is clearly shot in the dark, that's light pollution from the city. There's no sun setting and it was raining, and again I was walking as its a 10 second exposure I just paused longer in the middle to get some stronger definition of the silhouette

I was not there when you took the picture so I can't see what you could see. I can only see what the picture suggests to me and I can't see rain in it and the orange glow on the clouds does suggest 'sunset' more than 'light pollution' to me. And while you may have been walking the fact is I couldn't see that either, I can only see the moment captured when you weren't walking. It's all in the eye of the beholder you see.

This is so cool. I didn't vote on the challenge, so this is the first time I have seen the image. How DID you do it?

LOL! I'm a sucker for detailed shots like this esp those shot wide-angle. Love the chaotic scene here, esp Buzz hanging almost upside-down. 7 for the creativity.
