With a shot like this you miss the elements that really tell you that you are looking at a performing opera singer. Apart from that I like the way the foreground singer is lit, it just needs more expression on her face I think. I'm uncertain about the background. While it is excellently thrown out of focus, the background person is so bright that she is distracting.

Good stuff, but for me, the silver border inside the photo doesn't work. I dont know, its like your trying to constrain the picture w/ the border, but stuff is exceeding it, I dont know if that makes sence, but it just doesn't work for me. I like the photo a lot though, just w/o the border
