What's Winning?by GPComment by JumboJim: A very interesting photograph.. There are a few elements that stand out here.. The dark bird on the cross is a nice capture... And the color contrast is great. The branches add to the framing of the shot.. I guess I would like the shot a lot more if you upped the contrast of the overall shot considerably.. But that is only my aesthetic preference.. excellent work, 7. I wonder about the title... Is the conflict supposed to be: nature vs religion? cold vs bird? hehe.. anyway, kudos. |

What's Winning?by GPComment by Harry: I'd go tighter on the church or farther out (to show isolation). Is the conflict with the tree branches? What is the conflict here? Looks pretty tranquil. You may mean the good/evil conflict, but if so, where is the evil in this pic? |

What's Winning?by GPComment by JPR: I find this image very odd. Nothing seems to go together! I guess that was your "conflict," but I don't see exactly what two things I am supposed to be comparing to see who is winning. I am feeling a bit dense at the moment. Nature vs man, mother earth vs god, fractals vs straight lines, blue vs hideous orange pink? Something needs to be done about the blue cast... My favorite thing about this image is what I think is a bird. 5 |

What's Winning?by GPComment by Prof_Fate: nice pic, but (for me) does not fit the challenge well - it doesn't say 'conflict' without an explanation. |

What's Winning?by GPComment by Neuferland: I'm guessing the conflict is between the warmth of the tower to the cold of the outside? Or is it the classical fight of good (the church) vs. evil (the outside world). So it meets the challenge on either of those levels.
As for the shot, the white roof (?) on the bottom left is very distracting to me. If you were to crop just above that line and still keep the door in the shot it would make a huge difference on my score. The contrast is also just a bit wanting. A 6 |
