Empire State Building at sunsetby digitalpinsComment by pwm6: This photo has a great deal about it I like, but I think you would benefit by cropping the bottom 25% in order to place the horizon line at about 1/3 of th eway from the bottom. Placing the building in the dead cernter of the photo both horizontally and vertically detracts from the overall imression. |

Empire State Buildingby digitalpinsComment by CNovack: Adjusting the shutter speed to be a tad faster would have cut down on the amount of light let through and thus exposed the Empire State Building better. I do love how you captured some beams of light that shine down on the city (lights from a helicopter or plane?) It makes for a wonderful addition to the composition. I also love the hues of the night sky along with the cresent moon seen there in the shot - and I see Venus up just above the moon! (I tried capturing a shot of the cresent moon and venus a few weeks ago) Wonderful composition - it's just the lighting that needs a little work. |
