Frontier Chinaby ciaeagleComment by nam: Yes, the lighting is very nice - as are the tones. I shoot in places like this a lot and am always challenged. Just wish I could move things out of my way and get beyond the ropes etc. LOL
eta You did nicely here. Message edited by author 2013-06-05 22:03:15. |

Rocky Vistaby ciaeagleComment by nam: Great rocks! Did you get down to where you could get some closer shots, too? I love the shapes and textures. |

Pretty Birdyby ciaeagleComment by HarveyG: Great start. Catchlight, clear of obstructions and some environment OOF in the BG. Excellent. Don't forge the s/s 2x FL Rule: If at 400mm s/s should be 2x (or more) to get crisp and sharp i.e. 1/800s or preferably 1/1600s so you have done well here at 1/2000s. Push the D7000 to at least ISO 1600. Noise is still pretty minimal there. I use De Noise 5 if it's too prominent. Don't be afraid to DeNoise, as long as you get your shot. |

Virgin River, Zion NP Utahby ciaeagleComment by HarveyG: Beautiful scene. Great positioning to get river and valley in an appealing composition. I'd apply a bit of subtle HDR/Tone Mapping in sky and land to make it pop some more. Perhaps an inch off the top as Rian suggests but not too much! The sky is very dramatic. |

Moon, Rocks & Railsby ciaeagleComment by KarenNfld: What I like - landscape, colours
What I don't like - darkness of the train at front, seems to overpower the image. Also, the moon just looks like a speck of sensor dust |

Sunsetby ciaeagleComment by HarveyG: The best camera is the one you have with you, and you've done well. Good colour, nice split composition. Our skies are too busy though and the contrails seldom add to an image. Your thoughts? |
