At the concertby heidaComment by melismatica: Great rim lighting of the audience members, particulalry because you captured the guy in the front with his hand in "rock" formation. Really nice composition. The negative black space is used very effectively. Good job! |

At the concertby heidaComment by Glen King: Concert photography is difficult at best. This shows the crowd as well as the artist very nicely. I'd really enjoy a more close up of the just the more brightly lit part of the pic. It's still a 10. |

At the concertby heidaComment by photom: Great capture in low lighting. May not need all of the very left side, Adding the audience is a great touch that most shooters would probably avoid. |

At the concertby heidaComment by Dr.Confuser: We see quite a few "concert images" here and to be honest, I am generally not a fan of them. Generally find it hard to give them more than a 5.
A concert image is very hard to get right. Lighting is often low (or totally blown out). Usually there's a lot of movement. And to be frank, you often can't control where the photo is taken (unless you have better luck choosing your seats than I do.)
So the thing is ... you have attempted a photo with a very high degree of difficulty ... and pulled it off brilliantly. I like almost everything about it (comp, color, levels, contrast if not so much the subject) and it nicely renders the theme. Congratulations! Hope it does well in the voting. (9) |
