Confuzedby heidaComment by dustin03: The last of three emotions that you have illustrated, I like that you have made all three into a theme and not just 3 single shots which can be boring. Again, the lighting, is great. Perhaps, highlight the face more after I write about displaying of emotions below.
Hmmm, here is an idea. I would love to see more emotion of confusing in your face with perhaps more ripples in the forehead...However, be careful not to go overboard and display anger, sadness or fear...just a little more emotion in the face. Perhaps let up on the smile or the corners of your mouth a bit..I have sat here trying to display confusion and it seems harder to portray with looking angered or saddened....Hmmm, hand placement seems to work here...how many time we do become confuse and throw our hands to our heads? Almost always...
Overall, I do like how you made a small series out of these 3 photos....work on some alternative facial body language along being sure to gain some lighting to direct some attention to the face to say, hey, I'm confused...I hope that I have helped and have enjoyed these. |

Joyfulby heidaComment by dustin03: Again, I feel that you did a wonderful job at this one too...more in the way you have constructed your pose..your face says so much of contentment and too, "Joy." This photo gives the viewer that the model or you are very happy and appear to be free.....very moving photo...also, as a whole, the photo has a free flowing rhythm and a can hear silence and nothing but the heart beat beating. |

Gracefulby heidaComment by dustin03: Hello, Hmmmm...you have done a wonderful job on your lighting set up....the shadows and highlights create a sculpture out of your upper body and head. Very appealing to see...Now this is just my opinion, some areas appear to be over blurred and kinda looks digital art work...I just feel that portraits should be very clear and show more realness to skin and/or skin tones...B/W done well too....Overall, very nice and I love the sculpture likeness that this photo retains. |

Joyfulby heidaComment by Imagineer: Nice lighting. The pose is good too.
Crop of the top hand is uncomfortable though, so I think it needs more black at the top or more cropped off - down to the wrist or airbrushed to black to the right of the softly light vertical line on the forearm.
I'd lose the bright highlight near the hip area and I wonder if this would be stronger without the thigh visible too?
Image looks very smooth - almost too smooth since there is very little natural texture visible. |

I really like this shot with the very fine frame and the hand seemingly reaching the corner limit.
