This is a wonderful tone study with one minor flaw. Dark eyes, and these are beautiful, will be sought by the viewer. The hair across the pupil interferes with their shape because hair, eyebrows and shadows are in the same zone. It also steals the catchlight which low key images need.


Yet, this is a very appealing and almost mystical study with great tonal vitality and superbly captured essence. The lips are a delight with immaculate highlights and the hair is just flowing and framing the lovely and pensive face. Bumping up.

Very, very professional. I think dodging has been used on the face but this has been done very sensitively in this case. Honesty and integrity captured...unlike some....

This is beautiful! The expression on the girl's face really conveys the mood I think you were trying to convey in the picture. I gave it an 8, only because I think it's a little too dark. A little more light, and it would have been a perfect 10.
