How is this an unusual viewpoint? It's a really great portrait but for this challenge, sorry it doesn't work for me.

I like this muchly. not entriely sure re: the unusual viewpoint factor - but everything else is lovely... i like the way you've captured your models face, her being somehow interestingly thoughtful and seemingly nice... the background, including the light through the blurry trees, is really cool. tones are amongst the best on a monochrome image i've seen for quite a while... and the graininess (intentional or not) works REALLY well. defintely record sleeve quality. but is it unusual enough. dunno. i was going to go for a 7, but the more i get drawn to it... 8.

Like the composition, though I'm not such a fan of the grain of the shot. I also think that missing the brightest area of the tines with you chosen dof might be a mistake - it leaves a conflict between the natural draw of the brightness and the opposing draw o the focus that doesn't allow the eye to settle at all. But there's a feel I like here very much.

Comment by Sammie:
Very minimalistic. I really can't tell if this fork is lit by more than one light source; the challenge was to use obvious light sources. It also seems slightly out of focus and grainy - perhaps you were trying for this effect.

I see one shadow. How is this obvious use of multiple light sources and how is that use a key factor in your composition?

Comment by bongo:
focus is not good. Greater depth of field would have worked better.
Good effort, good perspective and angle.
