He smiles for the cameraby frumoazniculComment by strangeghost: Some of the best entries to this challenge are people and your photo stands out from the pack. This guy has one heckuva lot of character and personality and you've captured it with this shot. Wonderful crop too. Chopping his hat and forehead really draws my eyes back again and again to this delightfully thick and scratched glasses. There's just enough eye visible to assure me that his smile is genuine and pleased. A wonderful find! |

little brotherby frumoazniculComment by frumoaznicul: It is not a concept, it's a real scene where me and my camera is just a witness. I just happened to be there. This is to be regarded as a documentary not a set up. In a cold fall morning somewhere in the world in 2005 some children unfortunate to wake up like this. That's what I am documenting and not experimenting with concepts. The bag and everything else its just the way the place was. |

little brotherby frumoazniculComment by OneSweetSin: I do like your concept here. I actually was thinking of trying something similar to this with my two boys but the baby is just to small and yes delicate to try something like this with.
Now first thing I would do to improve this is get rid of that bag at his feet it is distracting. Second would be the position of his head he looks like he is looking down the road rather than at his little brother. The little brother also looks stiff not natural at all.
I would also try cropping that some they just seem to centered. Your lighting and focus are both good and the use of b & w adds to the emotion. Overall its a very nice photo and it fits the challenge.
