SkinStoneby sergutComment by BrennanOB: The image is strong but suffers from trying to fit in this context since it is stronger in many areas than in texture. Nice shot though. |

SkinStoneby sergutComment by JPR: This is an outstanding photo and I'm going to give it a 10 for sure. I do have a suggestion for what I think might be interesting to do with it outside of the challenge when you are allowed to selectively edit. I would select just the people and make the one in the foreground lighter and the one in the background darker, or play around with such ideas. I think it would be an interesting contrast and juxtaposition. |

SkinStoneby sergutComment by e301: Rather a good photograph. Semi-naked man's arm appearing from black woman's head is odd seeming, but in a slightly surreal image like this it doesn't offend me. Oh to dodge and burn a touch though - compositionally, that near-silhouette pulls the eye so strongly, and she (he?), being not quite silhouetted my eye is searching for detail there that is difficult to see - kind of unsettling, but not in a good sense. Like it though - softness of toning on the walls through the door add a great sense of marble, and rich stone-work, and then that oddly posed figure to add some more disruption. Almost great. |

+ Wow I like this photo; it is somewhat strange in a special kind of way (do I make any sense?). Excellent use of light and darkness. The expressions of your subject are almost unreal combined with all the other elements in the photo.
- The connection with the challenge is thin; at least thinner than most other photos I have seen so far which may or may not be a good thing :). |
