Also wondering after reading so many complaints about shots looking staged, is there anything wrong with staging a shot? If it werent' for staged shots we'd be missing out on alot of brilliant photography. THere is nothing in DPC rules about staging shots therefore it shouldn't be an issue when judgment time rolls around. Message edited by author 2003-12-16 13:32:44.

	La vie d'Artiste by sergut Comment by zeuszen: Journalism par excellence! I've given 6/271 entries in this challenge above average marks. This is my highest rated entry. The dry objective manner (b and w, large depth of field, the unselective lighting etc.) of this poignant capture make both a stark social statement and a deeply moving photo. The (apparent) refusal of the photographer to embellish even parts or aspects of this image result in bared nerves, at least, on part of this viewer. The essence and spirit of this -record- leave neither margin nor doubt: meaning is that which is.
