Very nicely done portrait, though I am not a huge fan of the desat. I do realize, though, that lots of folks like this kind of thing, particularly for bridal portraits. You did a very good job of catching a natural, warm expression - and that counts for a lot!

The grayscale image with colored elements is fast becoming a meme in these challenges and it doesn't always work. The repetition of this type of image is fast becoming passe'. Having said that, this is very different and unigue - a solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. Well done.

Great picture - sort of needs more than one person in there if you're going to get the human interaction thing, so maybe that drags it down in the candid stakes.
As a picture/portrait of a blues busker this is top notch.
