Foothills Churchby drgsoellComment by nordicgirl: Yeah, first think you see is that big star in dark sky... and then cames small church. At least it looks small :). Its interesting shot but it misses spot where your eye can stay on. But im really curious of bell... to see it bigger. |

A Geiger Counter And A Radioactive Bananaby drgsoellComment by sfalice: This is a nicely exposed image. I would say there is quite a bit of information to process, so it might also be interesting to zero in on just a 'part' of the parts that you have included here. That would define a center of interest. |

Carlsbad Cavernsby drgsoellComment by PhilipDyer: This is a beautiful subject to photograph, but I think the shot came out a bit dark. That's hard to fix under basic editing rules since the light parts of shot are already bright enough, but you can play with the dark areas when the challenge is over. For this challenge, maybe a little lightening would help and a tighter crop would cut out some of the dark sections. Hope you enjoyed your trip! :-) |

Carlsbad Cavernsby drgsoellComment by mhoogendyk: There are certain subjects that, unless photographed with specific light and very fine detail, tend to look muddy. The sides of buildings made from adobe, some smooth, light-colored rocks, slime buildups in caves - all of those qualify. That is the situation in this case. I'd love to see lots more definition, focus, detail or whatever. Everything just looks so soft on my screen. |
