This is more a comment on your notes, than the photo (though the photo is very nice, as well).
I came to the same notion regarding people flitting about and "seeing" things by flying over them, or going through places in such a quick fashion. I see that the most in people who are obsessed with summitting mountains. I much prefer doing all the routes on a mountain, learning its intricacies, spending time, learning the character of it. I'm glad there are others that are the same.

You've captured the full tonal range - though the blown out clouds for white is kind of cheating. ;) I'm not a fan of the composition - I keep wanting to turn towards the right a little to have the poles running down the side of the image. I don't think the way they cross half the image and then fade away really 'says' anything.
