day4.jpgby MadMan2kComment by Germaine: Perfect combination of blur and stop-action. It's clear what the guy is doing, but you still get that feeling of motion. |

Diveby MadMan2kComment by Mick: I think alans_world may be right about shooting from the other side. It looks like there was more light coming from that side. Still, I think you did a good job with what you had to work with. You captured a nice slice of the action. |

Diveby MadMan2kComment by see: I am far from a expert. Judging from this photo, and from the angle of your other shots, it would seem to me standing on the other side of your swimmers might have helped. I noticed that big window and the added outdoor light might have given you more options with your settings.
BTW Cool about the newspaper..

Practiceby MadMan2kComment by NathanWert: A little PP could make this better (brighter), or again use an off camera flash. I keep saying off camera, becaue I think a camera mounted one would give you bad rebound. |

Diveby MadMan2kComment by NathanWert: I think a flash may have helped, but probably only if you stopped it down a little. Full flash may have overpowered the girl closest. As it was I think the lights and the windows made this shot difficult. Can probably be made even better with some PP, but I'm not the person to show you how. |

day4.jpgby MadMan2kComment by SandyP: The blur in those arms shows the powerful motion of that stroke. I used to be on a swim team my first year of high school, and even then, I was in awe of people who could successfully do this. Really nice job! |
