A Matter of Life and Deathby LycanMoonComment by beckettboots: Great colors and textures - the grass and the detail on the side of the tombstone are very nice. The composition could be a little more engaging, perhaps a closer crop to focus more on the emotion as it relates to the challenge instead of the stark reality. |

A Matter of Life and Deathby LycanMoonComment by Neuferland: Good idea for the challenge but this comes off more as a snapshot than a portrait type shot. A different angle perhaps, come in more on the face and the stone, cutting out a lot of the background distractions and are those her keys by her knees? Using my envelopes (they are so handy) I cropped the right side up to her shoulder, just at the back hair line and it really made a big difference in the focus of the shot and the composition. If you work with this at all I would love to see the results. As is a 4 |

A Matter of Life and Deathby LycanMoonComment by cghubbell: I think black and white would help to keep the attention on the subject instead of being distracted by the bright flowering trees in the background. A depth of field ajdustment might also help to keep the foreground emphasized. |

Stairway to Lost Atlantisby LycanMoonComment by Jovi: Just read your PM.. you're welcome :)
Definitely agree with Mocabela, this should've done much better! Not bad for a first attempt though. Good luck with your future entries!

A Matter of Life and Deathby LycanMoonComment by trying2bstill: good idea, if you move the camera to the right and show give some space behind the headstone and eliminate some of the useless space behind her, I think it would be stronger. 5 |
