I liked this photo in the challenge you did a wonderful job capturing a nice deep dof here. What I really think that kept you from that 6.0 or better is the buildings are just a little to dark, the tallest one is lost with no detail showing on it cause it is so dark while other buildings around it are more visable.

Overall you did do a good job meeting the challenge, keep it up.

ah .... how slylyand yet brazenly the water fountains on the left taunt the protective urinators. I can sleep in peace knowing that everyone thought you were nuts taking this picture- and that I have used brazenly in a sentence today.

Rating: 3/5 for concept (aka meeting the challenge), and 3/5 for technique, for a score of 6. If you had rotated yourself to be to the left of the port-a-potty waiting line, perhaps you could have cut out some of the distracting left hand background?

The row of toilets is tilted clockwise, but what I can't get past is that there's nothing to connect me to this image. It's just a line of toilests with completely disassociated subjects walking in front of it. If your subject was meant to be the line it may have helped to take the shot from a perspective that puts more people in the frame.

Very interesting shot with the background cloaked in this very blue stormy mood and yet the lighting on the foreground person and grass is very bright and summery. Excellent mix of foreground/background elements, wonderful lighting and color, interesting mood, nice sharp image. Nicely captured!

This is a nice shot, you've captured a nice moment of these three ducklings.
Swans are always very tricky subjects to expose for, highlight detail is the thing to aim for, while keeping detail in the beak and here the highlights are overexposed. It's a shame you couldn't get a light area behind the swan's beak so we could see it's face better.
I'm not convinced by the centered composition... everything needs to be higher or lower in the frame. The middle just doesn't work for me. Also, other points of interest such as the swan's face and the duckling on the right are far too near the edge of the frame.
The textures, colours and shapes in the water are lovely, I think you could have made more of this.
In conclusion, a wonderfully timed shot that captured a nice 'family' moment, but more thought needs to be put into composition.

I think, and it's only opinion of course, that those clouds need to be darkened considerably to have the impact your title suggest: this way, it looks just like a bit of cloud cover on a sometimes sunny day. beyond that, this a good solid composition, nicely organised to balance the girl and the buildings. I might wish that there were more drama in it, more impact if you were to threaten the high scores. Given this scene, what would one do to give it that impact? First off, a lot of burning on those clouds, to add drama to them (see Heida's work with the burn tool for an idea), and I'm not sure that a touch of colour temperature correction wouldn't hurt - whole thing comes across as a little blue. 6

Picture seems to be somewhat extra vivid. A little bit if toned down colors could have produced a pleasant effect
