Morning Has Brokenby GraciousComment by aznym: Part of the image has a lot of digital noise, perhaps taken at a higher ISO setting or, brightened up to get details from rather dark area. But what's bothering me is not the noise (or grain) at all, but it's the part of the image that's looking rather soft. Looks like parts of the image were smudged or blurred and other parts left intact. Whatever it is, it's not very pleasing.
If getting rid of the grain was the intention, you could try using a software like NeatImage or any other. |

Digitsby GraciousComment by HBunch: Definatley neat to look at. I think we've all done this at some point in time of our life. I like the way you have placed it in the frame of the photo, and I like how we only see a portion of the hand. Come to think about it, very important for the challenge. lol. Seems a bit grainy, or maybe it's just the texture of the hands in the dark, unsure, but taking a shot in low light like this is tricky, and I think you have done a nice job with it. ~Heather~ |

Digitsby GraciousComment by photom: Very interesting take on the challenge. Nice bright colors against black pops. |

Digitsby GraciousComment by dipaulk: I hesitate to make comments since I am obviously not an expert, but here goes: the photo meets the challenge. It is just my opinion that a photo should be able to "stand alone" apart from the challenge (not sure that makes sense, in other words, it should be a good subject even if you don't know what challenge it was entered into). I felt that was where this photo was a little weak -- I couldn't see it having meaning apart from the challenge. |

Digitsby GraciousComment by saintaugust: interesting, but i think you could have got this sharper. as well, the light source through the two fingers is a little offsetting.

Digitsby GraciousComment by Donald: I have the toughest time trying to capture dim lighted subjects. I love the color with a hint of yellow eclipse. Your moon knuckle photo is very well crafted being off center and thus in a area of interest. The spiked points of red vanishing in the dark background create an awsome shape. I was going to skip this one but now it seems kind of romantic like cudling in front of a full moon. Thanks for my 1st ten this challenge. |

Turkey Vultureby GraciousComment by redmoon: The bird appears a little grey / washed out - maybe a quick blast with the contrast might bring him out a little bit. it being a members challenge, i might have been tempted to clone out the uppermost part of the trees, as they're not particularly well captured and are a bit distracting. it's also a bit of a pity you couldn't get closer, because he looks lovely. 5. |
