Driftwoodby GraciousComment by Manic: The shapes, lines, and detail in the grain of the wood are amazing - it's just a shame that large areas of it are blown out. Some levels adjustments might be able to rectify this, depending on what the original was like. |

Driftwoodby GraciousComment by kathleenm: I love driftwood and this is a great piece. It seems a little too bright and contrasty and loses some of that soft weathered feel, but still a 7. :-) |

Driftwoodby GraciousComment by Yomi: nice abstract look. I took a similar shot of some wood like this. I like this shot, but it is a little bright. |

Driftwoodby GraciousComment by Anachronite: I like the idea... but theres something about the texture of the wood, or post processing that gives it a strange look... also like it's digital art and not a photo? |

Driftwoodby GraciousComment by albright1: Wow..... your choice of black and white makes this look like a Georgia O'Keefe painting! What beauty! |

Driftwoodby GraciousComment by welcher: Makes me want to go get my surfboard and drop in! Really an interesting photo. I don't know if you tweaked the contrast at all, but I would have liked to have seen a bit more detail. |

Driftwoodby GraciousComment by HBunch: Fascinating. I really love how you have us looking through the driftwood. Black and white is an excelent choice here. you have taken away an element (color) that could be distracting to the texture here, and have in turn brought out supurb textures. Angle and framing/cropping are great, and the subject is very interesting to look at. Great find. Good luck in the challenge. |

Left, Right, Left, Right, Leftby GraciousComment by sylandrix: If it weren't for the very white highlights, the blue horizontal lights and low photo quality (probably a camera limitation you couldn't control), I think the photo would do nicely. Potential's there. |
