As for the outakes, they're good also, but with these kind of photos I like when there is a direct look, a stare, which means I really liked the bottom right one. And you should have left the hat on his head even for this shot. I think...

With this attitude you'll do well - it's a nice image, just doesn't meet the challenge. In an appropriate challenge I think it would have done well.

If nothing else, perhaps you have learned, that, when someone asks you "What color is the snow?", or "What color is a night sky void of stars?", you will not be expected to answer, since there are no colors to describe those conditions. So, you have learned something valuable from this challenge, and that is what DPC is all about. Great shot.
