Wait! No Paint!by amateurboiComment by gjumi: Midhun (?), it's a great photo and I hope you don't mind the placement and those funny votes. I don't have any of those ribbons that other people give away, but I have some beer (or wonderful merlot, if that's your choice), so that's what I can offer you as a recognition for this good work. As for the outakes, they're good also, but with these kind of photos I like when there is a direct look, a stare, which means I really liked the bottom right one. And you should have left the hat on his head even for this shot. I think... |

Wait! No Paint!by amateurboiComment by eamurdock: Originally posted by amateurboi: It is kind of disheartening where the image ended up. But yes, I'd call this a difference in perspective. I took the word complementary as 'negation'.. So in that perspective, black and white were complementary colors... Thanks for some of the wonderful comments. |
With this attitude you'll do well - it's a nice image, just doesn't meet the challenge. In an appropriate challenge I think it would have done well. |

Wait! No Paint!by amateurboiComment by pointandshoot: If nothing else, perhaps you have learned, that, when someone asks you "What color is the snow?", or "What color is a night sky void of stars?", you will not be expected to answer, since there are no colors to describe those conditions. So, you have learned something valuable from this challenge, and that is what DPC is all about. Great shot. |

Wait! No Paint!by amateurboiComment by hajeka: Wonderful image, although (strictly speaking) black and white are no colors. The stripes and the spots in the background are rather distracting. |
