Greetings from the Critique Club: to begin with, this image obviously fit the challenge...it conjures up a smell, and a strong one at that. The image itself has some problems. To begin with I believe you have moved in too closely on your subject and lost focus. The overall color is quite drab and the shadows/reflections/noise on the curled back lid are very distracting. You might like to try the shot with some different lighting so that your image is cleaner/clearer and the overall effect more exciting. Better light would reduce many of the problems.
