The lighting has really blown out the body of the cat so rather than have the bokeh enhance the image, it appears to have taken away from the image in this case. Sorry.

At first glance, I might have dismissed it as a bad, blurry, blown out image of a cat. Beyond the first glance though, the focal point on the face does grab my attention and suddenly the image comes to life. Great job! I'm not fond of the thick border. A simpler thin border using one of the medium tones from the cat's fur might work better, IMO. Best of luck! :)
