Sky Fallsby SchuffComment by glad2badad: I like this one the best. You can get a sense of scale with the large pine trees in the background. The low cloud (or fog) ceiling adds some drama. Another thing I like is the composition, the way the waterfall cuts across the image diagonally and the trees in the foreground right add more depth and dimension. Overall - very nice! |

The Aftermathby SchuffComment by Bear_Music: Defintely clone out the limb lower right. This is a very nice shot. I think you can get more luminosity out of it with judicious levels and curves, though. It's worth a try. It's just shy of really singing. |

Sky Fallsby SchuffComment by Bear_Music: I never worry about so-called "printable ratios"; I make the image be the best it can be and worry about all that later. Youc an always create a print file that inludes white borders to regularize it for a generic print service like DOC.
This image, anyway, seems to me the most blah of the 4. It really doesn't compel my attention. |

Big Timber Fallsby SchuffComment by Schuff: I really wanted to crop the big tree on the left to be the left border of the picture but as I stated in my other pic I was trying to crop at 8x10 size to keep it printable and that meant I lost alot of the top/bottom of this pic.
Thx for pointing out that limb in the water. A friend of mine also just noticed that as well, quite bright and sticks out. I will test my cloning skills on this. =)
Thx for taking the time! |

Canyon Crestby SchuffComment by Bear_Music: This feels to me like it's leaning over to the right. I'd try maybe a degree or 2 of CCW rotation. Maybe crop a bit off the left so it's not quite so centered, but the centering basically works. |

Big Timber Fallsby SchuffComment by Bear_Music: I don't mind the tree at all, it lends depth,a nd after all the nAME of the falls is "Big Timber Falls" :-) I'd think about cloning the branches from the upper falls though. It's a nice shot, though it seems a little muddy in color. Try some hue/sat adjustment to perk it up? |
