So what's mistic about Mystic Lake? It's a great shot with all the hype and glamor that goes with casino stuff. Just an observation: the trees in front seem to be looking on as though they have been stripped bare and the casino is taking their beauty. It's a cool effect.

Nice capture on the variety of lights, with a good balance between getting the lights to stand out and still get the colors of the buildings.

Nice shot of 'Mystake Lake' and I am guessing the blurs of cars coming and going weren't there just to take pretty pictures. Coming home with a nice pic like this was probably more than most of them came home with. New slogan should be "Mystic Lake...come for the shots, leave without the slots."

Greetings from The Critique Club

I like the picture in general. It gives me a meditative disposition so I guess that it does the same for you, that's why it is your sacred place. The way you let us see it arise some questions though. Why did you choose to cut so close the upper part of water, just before falling? Or why didn't you cut it all and get rid of that dark ribbon from the top of the picture. I like the fallen tree and the direction it points. The fact that the picture is blurry, almost makes is look abstract. Did you try to shoot from different angles? I would have tried to have something with some weight in the image. Something to pop up more. Maybe the tree. More sharpness on the tree would have been perfect. But I do like the image as it is... we just try to find ways of improvement.

Keep up the good work, you will only get better!
Best regards,
Elena
