The Criticsby mariucaComment by Melethia: The blurred passerby creates the interest for me here. Almost as though the statue is pondering the potential for movement, as unlikely as that may be, and that is echoed by the painting beyond. The gent on the right has no part in any of that, but his being there is not a disturbance. |

The Criticsby mariucaComment by PennyStreet: Giacometti and Cartier-Bresson, as artist friends, were both seeking a way out of surrealism. I think this photo kind of represents the thinking during that evolving process. Even the circle by Matisse in the background adds to the image... not so much the blurry spectators but they don't detract.
I'm liking this one very much... not so much as a representational presentation of HCB but artistically biographical. I hope I'm not way off base as to what you were thinking. |
