Beautifully conceived integration of brushwork and natural shapes. The middle shallot on the sympathetically hued square of paint ties it all together.

I think this is one of the best in the challenge. I think that the scale of the subjects did not produce the "wow" factor result that DPC craves, but in fact, and in my opinion, it is a memorable effort.

Do you know how much that saw-toothed leg bothered me? Why? It just doesn't fit. I came back a few times to try and understand it. Should be a minor part of the image, but it took over the whole thought process. Crazy.
