what a day!by mariucaComment by RamblinR: This is an interesting image but it doesn't meet the Silhouette challenge for me. Detail is visible on the rider and he should instead by totally black. I love the shadow on the ground but it is also not a silhouette.
I like the sun rays in this but would probably crop it above the white strips at the bottom to make a more solid image. |

right time, right placeby mariucaComment by Neat: Originally posted by mariuca: Originally posted by Neat: Seriously tell us the story behind this photo did you have to wait there for someone to walk by or was it a mere candid? |
Seriously Anita, what are the odds in NYC to wait for an old woman carrying two huge bags? It was a candid.
Actually, I waited for two seconds to take out the cover of the lens.
Thank you all for the comments. I did have two or three outtakes but this was too much of a happy coincidence not to post it |
Thanks, I've never noticed them before but I trust they are everywhere. |

life is but a dream...DSCF8675by mariucaComment by PennyStreet: For me, the timing of your entry is perfect, it's humorous and I scored it well... but this one is much more compelling. I love the black and white.. and the three images moving by her, each in their own world. The borders help somehow (an escalator I suppose) .. altogether atypical. This is really excellent. Good title too. |
