Glory to foodby mariucaComment by rodfulk: Well I've never been to France... I like the toning effect. The image suggests food fit for a king. |

Glory to foodby mariucaComment by pmichaud: My first thought was "what a magnificent rooster!" I didn't even notice the rest of the establishment. I have a little different viewpoint since I do keep chickens (and a rooster) but we don't eat them. Their job is to eat bugs in the garden. You have done an amazing job with this image. |

pork sandwichesby mariucaComment by digifotojo: Great food and nicely presented. I used to love BLT sandwiches but I don't eat them anymore b/c I broke a tooth biting into some hard bacon. It's impossible to get the nice crispy bacon I remember from years past. I'll just settle for tuna salad. |

butcher shop in NYCby mariucaComment by digifotojo: Very graphic imagery. I'm not a meat-eater, prefer fish and occasional chicken. But, I believe the whole meat production industry needs to be redefined.
When I was a student at Phila College of Art (Univ of the Arts) our sketch class went to Temple Medical Research Center (where medical students dissect human cadavers). So, I've pretty much seen it all. |

pork sandwichesby mariucaComment by roz: some of that looks extremely yummy .. especially the bread stuff .. !!! ..
i dont like to see bacon as i know that pigs are very intelligent .. and i cant help thinking of them in the process of being raised and dying ..
but each to his own ..
i have heard some ppl say that they couldnt live without bacon .. and i think .. if you knew how that animal gave up its life .. maybe you might change your mind ..
i apologize if i have antagonized anyone .. but thats what i think .. |

la prosciutteria.DSCF2860by mariucaComment by roz: what a great pic Mariuca .. loving your point of view ..
i'm glad i'm not seeing those poor animals .. i'm actually a vegetarian mainly because i cant help feeling distress when i see a piece of meat on a plate .. thinking of the animal that gave its life .. and wondering what went on before it died ..
i feel sad that i have to feed my dog on a carnivorous diet .. !! .. because she eats chickens and beef etc .. :( |
