All the more interesting because of the overlap of surfaces akin to one another. The jacket has a studied, haphazard look, and in the background is de Kooning-cum graffiti. They play off each other, as the photographer has so cunningly noticed. One can even say the one is a facade for the other. The overall shifting quality is fascinating.
