Till Death Do Us Partby the_rkpComment by Phocal: This would have been so much better without the person in it and maybe B&W. The person seems so off to me because this is a very old graveyard that looks completely overrun with weeds. Why someone would be mourning at a grave that appears to be 100 years old does not make sense to me. Without the person (but keep the rose) this could have been one of my favorite. |

Till Death Do Us Partby the_rkpComment by dtremain: Very poignant. For the happily married, one train of thought you avoid is the time when one will have to go on without their spouse. This image hits a bit too close to home.
The single rose is a nice touch. But her posture is also saying so very much - not the immediate denial and shock of loss, not the angry questions of why, but the sad acceptance of the situation combined with a sadness of the loss of what was. Maybe even the power of love reaching across the gulf of death. |

Till Death Do Us Partby the_rkpComment by Melethia: It appears as though he was born in 1831, so he'd be a bit old to be her husband, but I like the sentiment. Nice to add a person to the shot. |

All Star vs Etoile by the_rkpComment by klkitchens: Another great DNMC shot. Beautiful though and congrats on a ribbon. Wasn't obvious from the photo, but now it's explained... Message edited by author 2015-06-19 15:41:47. |
