I like the contrast of the wood against the blackness. I like the black band that blands into the blckness on the right, but whatever it is on the left/bottom distracts from the simplicity of the composition. Could be sharper, larger DOF, and it feels a bit tilted to the left.

There seems to be some noise on the barrel, possibly due to the low lighting. I like the shadowed edge on the right, but the left could have done with being cropped a little more or something as there is something over there that's a little distracting. I havent heard of the expression but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, I'm sure it's a saying somewhere. The money doesnt seem very sharp on the top of the barrel either, again, possibly due to the lighting situation.
