I see what you are going for here, but I feel that this scene is so powerful due to the dynamics of the water movement. The fast shutter speed has ruined that dynamic, and given us a static image.

I feel that this is a horizontal shot with a vertical point of interest - that the shot itself needs to be horizontal - rather than being of a vertical subject. Never mind, it doesn't matter that much to me because there are many ways to interpret this theme and I think my own entry relies on arbitrary presentation.

Beautiful photo. I am not sure how it fits with the challenge though. To my liking, there also is a bit too much sky - trimming it down so that the sky portion is only about 1/3 of the frame works better visually, for me. The sky has a few slightly blown areas that (what I assume is) the HDR treatment doesn't hide. The fog areas are fantastic. ~7
