One Treeby MargaretNetComment by damjanev: Nice tones and crisp details, but why, in God's name, is the horizon in the dead center of the image? It confuses me as a viewer and distracts me from that "One Tree".
As i write this comment, the image is scrolled down so the top half of the sky (or the top quarter of the image) is cropped out. It's a totally different experience. It looses some of the lice clouds at the top but that's nothing compared to the improvement in the composition. It has both the Ansel Adams feel in the tonal range (that your original already has) plus that WOW effect. Try it for yourself. |

From Paris with Love by MargaretNetComment by Lydia: Janine?
I love this image! I gave it a 7 (earlier).
It's just the perfect processing to promote the mood of it all. (Plus, I'm partial to Notre Dame! :D) |

Spectacle without Audienceby MargaretNetComment by oldbimmercoupe: love the humor in this one! I didn't judge this challenge. the horizon line at right is spot on (under the houses), but the far horizon line (center) seems off. was there a spit of sand out there or some kind of jetty? or am I totally losing my eyesight? */* regardless, just a super job here. congrats.
