Great contraption, though I'm not very keen on the way you set this out with the left wall in view or whatever it is.

Comment by Ken:
The is a beautiful image, but in my opinion borders on not meeting the challenge. I like to see a greater proportion of dark area with a primary subject; here the fireworks are competing with the city lights. If the exposure was shorter to dim the city, it would fit the challenge better but then the fireworks wouldn't look so spectacular. 5

This is one of my favourites. I'm not usually a great fan of this processing but make an exception in this case; great subject, colours and scene.

Whilst I like many 'arty' photos, I am not usually fan of what I would describe as painting imitations, but I make an exception here. The poses, the moment is so perfectly captured. I find myself intrigued by the story - the slightly old fashioned dresses and shoes, the sashes, and similar hats - are the ladies dancers - or were they? There is something very graceful about the pose of the more slender lady. the wind catching the skirts adds the necessary movement to give the sense of a fleeting moment.

I would be intrigued to see a version of the image edited in a more straightforward manner, but I suspect that I would still like this one best. I now have an interesting internal debate with myself about photography/art/painting....

Bumping from 7 to 9.

many congratulations on the yellow Margaret .. it is most certainly very unusual architecture ..
looks like you didnt need the drone ..
however .. your consistent winning of ribbons would go thru the roof if you had one ..
just that ppl love drone photography .. its such a wonderful and different view to what we are used to .. :)

The architect must have been seasick when he designed this! Very interesting. Well done in B&W.
