Thanks, Tina, for the kind comments on this shot. It was a cold New Year's Day when I took this. I set up the camera with my long 300mm lens on a tripod to reduce shake (mostly my own shivering!)

The lioness seemed to be as interested in me as I was in her. I tried to *gently* persuade her to move from the rock to a more picturesque setting, but she was quite comfortable - and who was I to argue?!

BTW, hopefully you've received your new backdrop equipment by now. Please let me know how it works out.

I am a big fan of statues.. this one is really peaceful and sad. I like that you didn't just shoot the whole graveyard for the picture. This makes it much more personal and quiet, I think. Solitary.
