Yours is a very lovely and intriguing entry indeed. I can see it nicely framed and hanging in the reception area of a high class office.

It's a shame that the rules said that "if you can tell what it is, it's not an abstract." I believe some of the voters deducted points because they thought they knew what it was. In this case, even if you KNOW - it's still an abstract - that's what lava lights do - create abstract shapes!

I usually like to give some ponters on how to make an image better - but I honestly don't know what you could do to improve this image. Everything seems to work very well - as is - including the title.

The dark background, exposure, composition, lighting, and post processing were all done to perfection.

HA! it's a lava lamp. lol. I stared at this wondering what the heck it was, and then it hit me all at once. duh. Definately abstract with a twist. the color is great, and the lighting is what makes this photo. great abstract. really draws me in to look closer and your focus and clarity are really good as well. very nice. ~Heather~

I don't think I voted on the original one, as I only voted half of the proportions entry. I don't quite see what it has to do with proportions but I really like the shot. Might have been a good abstract entry, or even serendipity (called discovery of X-Rays, might have ended up next to Labuda's. ;)

I like the reworked one. The composition is much better. I'd like to see if you can get your fingers together a little more, the light is a little distracting. Can't wait to see some more of this series. Are you thinking mouth, nose, toes, etc???? Great job! Cheers....Martin
