	50 years ago... defiance bred a Leader by Rooster Comment by Rooster: Thanks so much everyone! I had lots of fun dreaming this shot up & actually taking it. My model, Devin, was so great! He did exactly what I asked for without complaining or anything. Much love & thanks to him! Originally I wanted the sign to be more authentic & I had a painted sign all ready but I couldn't hang it off the wall. Hence the quickie printer job that hurt the shot a bit. I'm still really taken aback by all the comments & that I actually won a ribbon! Who would of thought! I think I have been having more fun with my shots lately & am finding creative ways of expressing myself more. Very happy that not only do I think I'm getting better but that it is being affirmed here on this site that I love so much! This shot was taken in the Crotona part of the Bronx in The Mary Mitchell Family & Youth Center on Mapes Avenue. Message edited by author 2004-03-03 11:54:30.

	Sign Language by Rooster Comment by TabbyCat: I had a similar idea involving sign language instead of fingerspelling, but didn't have a chance to do it. This picture gets a 10 from me! I'm deaf (or hearing-impaired for you politically-correct folks), so I'm a bit biased. ;-) Models are wonderfully photogenic and I love the desaturated effect!
