JOYby BarronessComment by EL-ROI: Camera: Canon EOS-5D
Lens: Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM
Aperture: 2.8
ISO: 3200
Shutter: 1/60
Just had to revisit this to check the exif. It shows as possible camera shake. With a shutter of 1/60 at a focal length of 100mm that is definitely too slow of a shutter. I think the rule of thumb for handheld in low light is to have a shutter speed at least 2x focal length. You may be able to get away with 1.5x shutter speed. (I run into this problem all the time because my camera body only goes to ISO 1600!) :) |

JOYby BarronessComment by bohemka: Fun moment, attractive model, contrast: check. Processing adds to the caught moment quality of it. |

JOYby BarronessComment by giantmike: Cute capture of a fun moment. My eyes are looks for some really sharp details, but not finding them likely because of some subject movement. |

JOYby BarronessComment by EL-ROI: I am voting this a 6 for great emotion. I am seeing either camera shake due to use of slow shutter speed which leaves motion blur, or a missed focus with wide open aperture and a lack of anything sharp, including the background which isn't moving. |

The Glass Blowerby BarronessComment by Barroness: littlemav I'm with you! (I thought the scars were real!)
I live in NY and work in the city. A glass blower in this area is an oddity. How ever, I did go to a strange festival with strange people from strange places and this man had an unusual craft. I did go there to see what I could capture, so I did feel it met the challenge and quite well. i am more of a documentary photographer, sorry not everyone could see the challenge, I will try harder next time. Thank you for taking the time to view and write.
