You don't have to be an animal lover to appreciate the exceptional capture and quality of this image. Beautifully captured. If the DOF were just a little deeper you could have got the nose in a little sharper focus. This will be one of the highest placing images in the challenge.

I really like this, particularly the color and I think it fits the challenge quite well, but I actually don't like that the title tells you what it is. I'd rather be left guessing.

Hypothetically, I'd have likely given this a 7. Colors are nice and like the composition. Whilst difficult commenting on abstracts, the only two things that hold it back in my opinion are the slight beginnings of color clashing (just my opinion/taste) and the good old grain, especially in the darker areas. Looks like some type of green glass perhaps, or liquid of some description.
