20080608 Backyard Macro N14687-s720 -1-2.jpgby NeilComment by sherpet: Spring is in the air, and i can almost smell these delicate pink blossoms. A fine macro here, and I really like the soft DOF on the right, but I like to see a slightly tighter crop, with some of the left side taken out. Not completely sure, but I think it would make the focused flower 'pop' more. |

If Mick Jagger were a flower...by NeilComment by bobonacus: The colours are fantastic, and the detail in the spiny bits is cool.
cc, I'd have been tempted to run noise ninja or Gaussian blur on the green and oof purple on the right and then select the white petals and do some colour balance work to make them a crisper white |

Darwin's Triumphby NeilComment by bobonacus: The colours and detail are fantastic and the bokeh is great to isolate the dfs'
cc, if I was being really picky the slight splash of colour on the bottom left is very slightly distracting |

Frenchman's Bay Recursionby NeilComment by pineapple: Well, I have been thinking of taking a trip there for several years. Now you have made that vague thought a certainty. Lovely photo - intriguing. Surprising what one finds in the archives of DPC. Lucky hihosilver below dredged this one up. Message edited by author 2008-06-20 12:41:53. |
