As far as the shot, it's a little too dark IMO, and I would also have liked to see if from a lower angle.

I don't know... it just doesn't look too appetizing as a photo! I think the circles would have been more a part of the picture without the greens "hiding" them. It would have been easier to see the circles too, if there were a shadow or something where one slice is laying on the other -- it's actually pretty difficult for me to see circles here (except for the dish of course).

not v appetising, I am afraid: colours are off. image is too dark on my screen. flat lighting and plain, duill, centred composition do not add anything.

I like the tablecloth idea, but with a sheer plate, it's distracting. Maybe remove the tablecloth or put the food on a white plate. I'll go have a snack now.

great idea and love the way the fencepost is so grainy looking, worn out. The only thing that detracts from your picture is the leaf in the foreground. It's so yellow and bright
