I make the train startingby mannjuditComment by 3eyedcrow: Be careful useing the USM, the halo around the subject detracts from the overall image. See how the focus of the image starts to become two dimentional & seperated from the background? |

I make the train startingby mannjuditComment by Jutilda: The colors of this work well together, but the overall shot just looks like a quick snapshot. It doesn't have the artistic feel of a true high ranked photograph. The guy with the blue shirt sitting inside the train is a distraction. It might be fun to have the boy inside the engine house as if he's "in charge." to get the sense of the title. The perspective would work better if you were down on his level, so that your "eye" is where his would look. |

I make the train startingby mannjuditComment by nephoto: From what I can see, and maybe I am wrong, but it looks like a bad attempt at dodging around the child, producing a halo-ish effect around his body. It makes the child look like he was cut and pasted onto the picture. |

Coloured figuresby mannjuditComment by HVGB_photos: There are too many complementary pairs here to demonstrate the effect of one colour contrasted against its opposite. If your shot showed only the blue and yellow toys, with the same composition and depth of field, you would have had a fine demonstration of complementary colour contrast.
But just looking at the birds with their wierd expressions, I like them better with all their colours... more energy and more fun for carnival toys! |
