i really like the design element of this shot. It has very simple pleasing shapes, nice colors and a smooth flow. The seems a little light, perhaps just half a stop, but other than that well exposed. The space between the last block and the edge of the frame seems cramped. I wonder if it would look better if it was comparable to the size of the first space, or even half as large. I really like the arrow in the top of the picture, but it would be fun to try playing with different vantage points to put the arrow in a different spot in the image.. perhaps more to the right and lower.. however perhaps this well appear too contrived. Great elements in this photo. keep up the good work.

Very nice use of water as a medium to create beautful reflections and shapes. As a person who has always had to judge very strictly on whether a picture fits a category or not I feel that this has had o rely too heavily on the title to pull it into the category definition.
Other people, I know, are happy to allow the title to be used as part of the judging method.
When sorting through hundreds of prints to judge in a conventional competition, in the majority of cases the title is secondary and in the 2 or three seconds that the first elimination stage often takes (per picture) I think this would have been rejected.
I still like the picture though, it is technically fine and interesting to look at. There are pictures within the picture hence a 6

This is a great photo that looks better up close than far away, which is opposite many of the other photos you see here. This is a great abstract with lots of details, although I'd suspect that it doesn't look as good blown up. ither way, this is a very good abstract image.
