The Reachby kanajComment by noraneko: I hope this isn’t under appreciated by the voters. Not only is it clever, but it’s a well done photo with beautiful rain and tones. |

It feels like the guardian of this strange little world. I also love the burn effect on the lower right corner. Congratulations, kanaj! 🫶🏻 I'm always happy when your masterpieces ribbon |

Suspended Timeby kanajComment by primabarbara: I like your composition a lot - the clock theme and the strings reminds me of the movie "Back to Future"
I'd love to see more contrast in it - but with minimal it is what it is...
What might have bothered some voters are the slanted lines: the building seems to tilt forward. But I think that’s what really gives the photo its true charm—that wink, combined with the title you chose. |

Oh, yes. I hadn't made the connection, but I definitely know the place. :-) |

Part of the chaos, to be sure. There are also dozens of those carved indigenous Americans like the one on the left of this frame among the various things assembled here. During the main spring and fall antique fairs near town, this place become a LOT tidier to get around, and the junque is a bit more categorically organized. But I think I like it better this way. :-)
Actually, there are miles of scenes not dissimilar to this between the various small towns in this part of rural Texas. The "destination antiquing" is such a phenomenon that you have everything from chaotic seasonal junque shops like this to curated year-round "boho chic" shops with private chefs and wine bars. My favorites are the ones that feel like they were dropped in place by a tornado. |
