It's so rare that my uncle Mark looks straight ahead. Usually his eyes are on the skies, specifically on his drone, any one of the many he owns. After they land, he tries to find patterns in the drone's aerial photos. Patterns that explain our earthly burdens, he says. But today, I had his attention, there on the ground, or just above it. He said we were pumping out the bad air. In with the good air. The thought that life could be better is woven indelibly into our hearts and our brains. Everybody loves the sound of a train in the distance. Except me today.

Janet and Dan are a little confused. Usually See-Saws have a little seat on the end on which to sit. Dan is trying to help Janet figure it out. He's telling her it's low enough -- she just has to be brave and try to sit on her end before he can sit on his own.
