A INTERESTING EFFECT...NOT SURE THAT IT IS AS CONVINCING AS ONE MIGHT HOPE. tHE SKY NEEDS TO BE A BIT MORE OVER EXPOSED AND THE GRAININESS COULD BE A LITTLE TIGHTER. TAKE A LOOK AT SOME REAL OLD TIME PRINTS...THAT SHOULD GIVE YOU A BETTER IDEA OF WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO TARGET.

I much prefer this one. The other is a tad too grainy.

This, to my eye, borders on being a very fine photograph but doesn't quite make it. I like some of the compositional quality, though I would perhaps have found a greater dissociation between the near-ground and distance more effective - I'm not sure the anchor links the two areas convincingly enough. The metallic quality of the water is well caught, but then the far bank lets things down for me - neither silhouetted nor defined, it somehow isn't anything at all. Without that far bank - perhaps just the jetty and the anchor, especially the wetness of the jetty, perhaps you might have achieved that rare thing of making a heavily overcast day visually interesting. Nice attempt. 7

Not a composition that realy interests me. It give's me a cold and wet feeling.
It's not realy interesting to me as I see nothing exciting going on.
This is only my opinion, if you like your picture then its a good picture, no matter what others say.

I quite like the "painted" effect. I think you have handled the filter well. The composition works well and the girl's expression is very effective. I would love to see this image without the products in the way. I think her face is quite expressive and would make a good image by itself. Good luck.

Wow, her eyes are very very green. Compositionally, I think this shot is great. Technically, you seemed to have done so much editing that I can't truly appreciate it. I do like this picture though.

Good idea. My major issues are is the eye is really unnatural and weird looking (too green) and there is a lot of reflection and blown highlights on the bottles
