Shaved, Slammed, Low Profiles, and Custom Wheelsby autoolComment by autool: Ed,
Thanks for the very complimentary critique. I appreciate your suggestions and agree whole heartedly.
This was a difficult shot due to the intense light. The side of the car in the light was impossible to shoot, because the showroom was all windows on that side, along with other cars very close. As you probably noticed the car wasn't finished and the owner didn't want any pictures taken that would emphasize that. I went with the low shot to work within the peramiters that were pretty much set.
Thanks again to you and the CC for your extra work, helping to improve the site.

Shaved, Slammed, Low Profiles, and Custom Wheelsby autoolComment by e301: Hello from Critique Club Richard.
hehe - like you need my advice :-)
A couple of minor points first: the yellow - quite well rendered here, but the larger expanses of it seem pretty grainy to me, and that IS an issue in such a high-tech shot, and something that Neatimage and similar programs will sort very easily. And compositionally - the amount of garage wall and roof in shot - I can see the benefit of the low angle, but perhaps a little off the floor would help keep more car in the frame and less space, and would emphasise what i think is the really intersting element here, which is the reflections.
So difficult to control, especially with such a large subject, and you've done pretty well: love the neon, love the other cars, and the detailing of the wheels is fantastic.
Great work though, and a different take on the challenge. Lacks some element of inspiration - but then if you were inspired every shot you'd probably win every challenge.
Cheers

In Flightby autoolComment by Imagineer: Excellent capture - you were lucky/skilful to get focus here. When I've tried that I often get the subject in frame but my focus is out! Neat. |

Psychedeliaby autoolComment by RiderGal: I hope this is used for marijuana only ;-) Hehehe... pipes can be really beautiful pieces of art truly. Interesting way to fill the frame so that you can't really tell at first glance what this is. The glare from the lights is kind of annoying though... this is almost too busy. |
