HOTby autoolComment by FotoMunki: Definitely meets the challenge and exhibits proper bokeh. The subject matter leaves me wanting (not because it's a plant - I have nothing against plants/flowers - it just lacks a "wow" factor for me). Good luck! |

What an excellent photo. I think its quite apropriate for the challenge. Truely a shame that many did not agree. Congrats on the very creative photo. Message edited by author 2006-02-26 05:23:23. |

A Hard Nut To Crackby autoolComment by Andre_P69: Could be a little sharper. More than likely taken with a high zoom. Suggestion is to increase the ISO speed of the camera. If possible then use a tripod and drop the shutter speed but if hand held you will need to raise the shutter speed to 1/(effective focal length). Whatever shutter speed you need to increas e the f stop to give greater depth of field on this one, as ever its a trade off. |

Battlefield Skyby autoolComment by tate: This is a great shot- but on my screen the black is only at about 80% - -the shame is that your monitor is probably different and it looks 100%. this is a phenomena everywhere that kills me because I have 3 monitors between work and home and even when using just one I sometimes get different results when saving for web. ... anyway .. back to your photo: I would also have rotated to make the horizon straight. It's a valient effort and there is somethign stirring about it that is really grabbing me. 8 |
